There’s no better way to enjoy the Kentucky derby this weekend than with an frosty mint julep in hand!  It’s a tradition that harkens back to a simpler time filled with pastel-colored pinstriped suits and fancy hats, and it’s high time that everyone enjoyed it once more! Perfect Mint Juleps


  • 4 cups of good quality bourbon
  • 2 bunches of fresh mint
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • crushed ice
  • a chilled glass or julep cup


  • Add your mint to the glass and swab the insides with it lightly.
  • Pour your sugar and water into the glass and gently muddle it.
  • Fill half the glass with crushed ice.
  • Pour in your high quality Kentucky bourbon and stir briskly until the glass frosts.
  • Add a little more ice and stir again before serving.
