How would you describe your culinary style?
The root of my culinary style is Indian food and the flavors of Indian spices that I learnt from my mother. It manifests itself into a couple of different forms. Some of my food is true-to-the-roots traditional recipes from different parts of India that have stood the test of time and have been made that same way for generations. Other forms include innovation by fusion of popular food from different international cuisines with a touch of that Indian flavor.
What is the main source of inspiration for your recipes?
The instant gratification of having created something that only a few minutes ago was only in my imagination and then to see the smiles on the faces of my loved ones; there is nothing in the world that beats that.
For someone new to your blog, which recipe do you recommend they try first?
There’s a whole list but if I had to narrow it down keeping in mind ease to make, taste and a dish that captures the essence of my food, I would recommend starting with Samosa Puffs follow it with Paneer Makhni and wash it down with some Mango Lassi.
What is your ultimate guilty food pleasure?
Three things – chocolate, chocolate and chocolate; dark chocolate is my absolute weakness.
I believe Yummly is that collection of food resources out on the world wide web that if one were to get hungry, one would think ‘Yummly’ instead of the nearest takeout restaurant.
